Character-Sheet: WAVEBREAKER by ReptileCynrik Character-Sheet: WAVEBREAKER by ReptileCynrik
This is a new character sheet for the character called "Wavebreaker"!
He is a Hauptmann (captain) of the "Human Alliance" - a faction of the "Fallen World" universe created by a friend of mine.

I'm really happy about the bulky "tank" here... such a coloss is quite unusual for my style. ^^"
I also have to add: this is my VERY FIRST cetacean creature... a shark-hybrid. Yes, I wanted to do a believable anthro version, where human features are mixed with the features of the great white shark!

Art by Patrick Reichel aka :iconreptilecynrik:
"Wavebreaker" belongs to :icondrakon-fireblade:

What do you mean by cetacean?

The order Cetacea includes the marine mammals commonly known as whales, dolphins, and porpoises! ;)

Also, I think... I wanted to express the fact that THIS CREATURE here is my very first "sealife animal"... not counting some dolphin doodles. ^_____^
Yepp, that's it.

I just figured... maybe "cetacean" wasn't a fitting word for it, after all! ^_^"
Just wanted to sound "eloquent", eh? :D
Anyway, since this is fantasy... it'd be hard to put this one in a fitting category.
His genes are shark and human in combination... so, it's some entirely different being.

No worries. Really it was the biologist in me that thought it was odd.

Yes, but in this anthro version, it would be a mammal... some knid of sealife-mammal. But hey, this is just fantasy! ^^

Very nicely designed. I wouldn't want to tick him off, though. With those muscles, he'd crush me in an instant.

Oh sweet! He's real bad ass Rep! Do you plan to pair him with any of your characters or maybe put him in like your gifts to people?

He surely IS a badass, hehe. Thank you for the comment!

I won't "pair" him with any of my character, because this is simply an entirely different universe.
"Wavebreaker" is a part of the "Fallen World" and NOT the "Reptile Universe". So, he won't meet MY own characters.
It was just a gift. ;)

This I do say this colossus is not your usual, I do say that, as the best representation to this is as I see is the stepping on the world one you made as a gift to someone. Tis is really big and looks genetically mutated to me. I reminds me of the action figures and 90s TV show Street Sharks, just over done in all the muscles and metal armor. It is nice though as a new species, nice work. :)

Well that is what youtube is for if you care to see what those 90s animated series was, and how close it was to your character, hehe.
Anyways I would think the complexity would be overwhelming just because it has too look realistic tho the muscled for of that character. and your welcome.

I think you did a really good job of blending human and shark and he definitely has that take-no-nonsense gonna-kick-your-ass feel to him. I think all he needs is a stogey! :D

But mabye my friend got inspired by this.

And be honest... it is not a big deal for an bright artist to think of a huge shark being, holding a magnum and looking mean!!! ^^

An armor wearing shark? It doesn't get more basass than that. Unless you have him eating people who just ate Snickers. ;p

Well, it'd be more badass if he would use a shark for pet... XD
Or using a tank for armor! :D :D

Oh, I guess he can eat people in an instant...

An odd hybrid for sure, rendered very well considering the creature that has been anthropomorphized comes from the ocean. Reminds me of some T.M.N.T. baddies from the old cartoon series. They had a lot of odd hybrids too. :)

They were some of the best. New cartoons (like the newer Batman series or new Thundercats) are either drawn in an Anime style (which grows tiring to see) or a blocky style that looks like it was rendered in a Flash player. Maybe it's too time consuming or expensive, but nobody wants to make cartoons look convincing anymore. Comedic cartoons like Bugs Bunny look fine if they aren't realistic, but the action-based ones they make nowadays just look silly compared to the classics. That's my rant for the day. :)

I really loved the "Avatar - Legend of Aang" show! ^^ Great cartoon in high quality!
Such as... many good japanese animes! ^____^
(they are my source of inspiration, btw)

Real Japanese Anime was never in question, but the tons of American cartoons that try to emulate the Anime style without the substance come off as shallow to me, and it grows a bit tiring. Avatar is a good show, but the Anime look has become something of a trend here in the states, that's all.

No, I don't. I use photos (human models), anatomy books and artworks for reference.
In fact... you get to know the rules of anatomy in time. Just a matter of practise! ;)

Most of all, I am not doing commissions of this kind... for now.
I also rathe like "action" picture more than "Character Sheets"... but it's ok I think.
THANKS for the comment!
